I would say that's the biggest thing I took from college. An outlook on life I did not have before, and the critical thinking skills more than anything.

if you lived the life that i have, school cant teach you "how to think" like the real world can. not by a long shot!

My mom is a school teacher (for several years now), and i feel like Im raising her sometimes..always giving her advice, giving insight to things, all from past experinces. everything from drugs to sex to dating.........from having different jobs to being homeless...to being engaged and then single....from raising my sister (who is only about 98% "there" mentally) since i was 8 yrs old...to picking my mother off the floor from passing out when she was sick & calling 911 (at 7 yrs old)...to seeing my father beat the shit out my mom (my first memory). from living on welfare to living in a mansion with nice cars. from being jumped by 2 girls at the same time (and barely winning the fight)....having to raise my neice from birth till 5 yrs old when i was only 17 yrs old.
college cant, and never will, teach you LIFE and how to survive. want life skills? live life. you want to learn chemistry? Then go to college. college teaches what books tell them to teach. life doesnt.
