Take away his current food for about 30 minutes, drop it back down in front of him after, and he'll go after it like its new.
My pup started getting picky about food timing like that so I checked around and found that to be the most recommended method.
Also to keep it from happening, get Skufty in the mode of having a feeding time.
Fill up his dish in the morning, give him 30-45 minutes to eat it, and then take it away, and dont give it back until nighttime feeding, where he gets 30-45 minutes again.
He might get a little extra beggy the first few days, my Ginger wouldn't stop whining when we ate in front of her, but after that, when it becomes a habit... she nails her food to the last bite every time i drop the dish... and it gives us time to eat without her around giving us puppy eyes.
