Different types of make-up, the quantity of make-up applied, can affect the reflection or absorbency of light compared to the models normal skin-tone.

Nothing looks worse than a model whose face is a different color than surrounding skin. And it really only shows in your flash photos or improperly bounced natural light shots.

Also keep models away from tanning beds at least two days before shooting.
