So I got to cuss out Insight and Cingular both today

Today technology has not been my friend. I woke up to my net connection being down. It proceeded to go down 2 more times in 12 hours. So Insight earned cussing #1. (In fairness, I will say they are usually pretty good and were doing some upgrade stuff that ran long, but I don't care, when I want it to work, I want it to work)

The munchkin comes in wanting to know why his cell phone says not available. He has one of those firefly thingys, though he doesn't use it very often. Mine worked, so I pulled out the instruction manual and followed the troubleshooting. Still nothing. So I call Cingular, only to find out that they had de-activated his phone on 04/20. I went ballastic, because there was no reason for it to have been cut off. I have always paid that bill early. So it was time to go off on them. They ended up giving me a credit on my bill and telling me something about the system losing the IEM number for his phone. Fat lot of good that would have been if he'd had an emergency and needed the fucking thing.

So I'm blaming the xanax I am about to take on frustrating technology.
