Still, just this month, Wedelstadt came to Dallas and pleaded
guilty to illegally transporting pornography and under-reporting his taxes. The plea deal capped a complex wiretap investigation of his Goalie Entertainment Company that began under the Clinton administration as a tax evasion case but more recently, under the Bush administration, morphed into an obscenity distribution case. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 9.
