a month ago i've tried splitinfinity virtual hosting and then out of sudden switched to dedicated server... omg, i was impressed with their service! level3 bandwidth, ping time to most of the us sites <20ms, 100mpbs up/dowqn link...
i don't know their prices, but i think you can get p4 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM and 80GB HDD and 3mpbs for around $200, i'm not totally sure, don't quote me...
