Girls just have a different way of communicating. They can lie with words through their teeth but there's no way to hide what their body is telling you. I think your subconcious mind has a way of picking up on these msgs which result in that nasty gut feeling... but I think it takes some time before you can conciously pick up on these signals and know what to look for.
And I'd have to agree with a lot of the previous comments, chances are very high that she's been seeing someone else. It's very unlikely that she'll just leave you out of the blue for no appearant reason and with no real explanation.
I'm really sorry about your loss man. The best thing you can do is to do your best to forget about her and move on as fast as you can. It sounds like a hard thing to do now, but just do it... and even if you were to get back together don't expect your relationship to be as peachy as it was before. You'll always have this looming in the back of your mind. It will drive you crazy. Move on. Now.
