Running stairs, running on the street, biking, stationary bike, whatever it takes. 15 minutes is not enough though. I'd say a minimum of 30 minutes, but much better if you can do 60 minutes of exercise. I try to vary my heart rate, with wind sprints and what not, while staying in my ideal range. A personal trainer, if you can afford it, is an awesome option too. You'd be surprised how bad most people's form is when they go to the gym. You'll be much better off, at least to start, if someone shows you how to do each exercise properly, and helps you build a solid routine. Your exercise days will change from day to day, week to week. You have to mix things up.
Anyway man, like you said, it doesn't get any easier as we get older ... So better to be on top of it now
