Explosions. You mean loud booms? They didnt hear "explosions" its impossible to hear an explosion. What you hear is the concussion from and explosion. They heard a sound similar to the concussion from an explosion. What was that sound? How bout air pressure shooting out because thousands of tons of material from each floor hitting the one below it as they pancaked to total collapse. Go stand around a construction site when they are dropping large pieces of material into place.
Btw wasnt there a trial this week that revealed all the details of the planning for 911?
