It gets abuse when I put non relevant content on a domain and get better ranking only because of the relevancy of the tld.
Comments: In your example below, your not putting non-relevant content on the domain. Ilovecartoonsandsuch.tv is relevant content to the .tv domain. In addition, I said give a bonus to ranking for placing the right content on the right domain, no be the sole decider of the ranking. Your examples aren't putting into account all the other factors in an algo that decide a sites ranking.
I.e. I put some crap content on ilovecartoonsandsuch.tv and according to your suggestion I should get better ranking than disney.com for entertainment related searches only because my site happens to be on a .tv.
