Does anyone here even know how much money cutting taxes on gas would actually be overall?

The US uses 9 MILLION barrels of motor gasoline each _DAY_.
The US uses 3.8 MILLION barrels of diesel fuel each _DAY_.
Plus another 1.7 MILLION in jet fuel daily. Which totals to about 15 million barrels total consumption DAILY by the transportation sector. Thats around 2.5 gallons per person, per day!

Thats around _DOUBLE_ the amount of other industrialized countries.

Maybe instead of cutting taxes on oil you guys should just invest in better technology so you can lower your consumption?
