This is begining to concern me quite a bit. First the beatiality thing, which I don't support, but seems rather inappropriate for VISA to mandate. After all, I can use American Dollars to buy weed, or to pay for a hit on my wife. Both are illegal to do, however possible with money. More and more everyday credit becomes money, after all without the gold standard, what is money but credit enough to buy something else. There is no garentee that with inflation the dollar I give you today will buy something that would be on the dollar menu today, because it might be $1.09 tomorrow. So, to me VISA and MasterCard basically have a oligopoly on the credit industry.

That being said, I feel that credit is such a necessary element to today's economic system that it should be handled almost like currency. That it should be a government system. However, that scares me even more due to the paper trail that it creates. Not that most things that I do are illegal, but assuming this progressed into our total currency being all card based, then how would you buy a folex on the street, or weed from a dealer. Bah, I don't know what I started out saying, other than the amount of power VISA is wielding is scary as hell.
