In those cases they also proved who posted the defamatory content. You can't go in and say "well everyone on GFY knows SonofSam is So and So". You have to proof it through various means. Without that, all SOS would need to do is say "I didn't post it" and the case is done. Otherwise he could sue Bill Gates and say it was him posting under SonOfSam.
And the post claiming it didn't hurt business is actually pretty damning. He would have to state he lied in that post. It's like getting in a car accident and bragging to friends how great you feel, then going to court a month later saying how hurt you are.
Either way, I'm just saying he has a much better chance of going after GFY than he does SOS. The first thing a good defense lawyer will ask is why no steps were made to delete the defamatory comments if it was so bad for business.
