I wish ... they told me they could hold my checks up to 30 days. I was like then why when I deposit at the ATM they hit right away? They said that's how it works.

But now, here's the thing ... I FedEx my checks to my branch (I'm in CO and there is no BofA here), they do a counter credit (same thing as depositing inside) and they always hit the day after.

I think they try and scare you by saying they COULD hold the checks for that long, but they usually don't. But I also wouldn't risk it, just deposit in the ATM.
