America was a name given by Europeans.
And it is a name used solely by the citizens of the United states. IE: Americans.
Canada is a NATIVE/FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE word.
And it existed LONG before Europeans came to the land.

Rest assured Canadians are NOT Americans in the same way the Dutch are Europeans.
