For the non military people SNAFU is an old military acronym that means Situation Normal All Fucked Up. Actually the situation isn't normal with these new Visa Policies. I have been reading the many threads about this subject and one thing seems to stand out, at least from my point of view, and that is the major billing processors have been aware of this for several months and seem to have been in collusion to spring this on their webmasters at the same time, with such short notice that it would make it difficult for the webmasters to change their business model and/or billing alternatives. In other words it seems to me that they were in this for themselves (which is understandable when you think about it) and the webmasters get the short end of the stick. Fortunately I had already sold my business before this shit hit the fan and my business has its own merchant account anyhow (but this shit apparently is going to affect individual merchant accounts also to some extent), so I don't really have a dog in this fight. I am sure that some of you are going to go out of business or change your business model. For those of you that can afford to say fuck them, my vote goes for you to say fuck you to the Billing Processors, as well as Visa. Both entities deserve a return fucking like the one that they have laid off on you. Good luck to all of you
