feedwordpress can only pull what's in the feed, if it's decription only feeds, then you are out of luck.
Take a look at http://www.autobloggerpro.com we are planning some cool features for 2.5 that would make problems like yours a thing of the past.

I've been reading about autobloggerpro, but I'm sure I need that much. Basically, I want to create my own posts. Then I would like those post to be syndicated. I'm not sure I need everything that is offered on that program.
