Hrmm...here's what I've noticed over the years

From my experience, Paying surfers that become regular re-visitng members tend to have an eagle eye and attention to detail.

They will see everything in a photograph. They notice things that I don't notice even though I took the pics.

Will a little webmaster lie stop a conversion? Doubtful. But here's something to think about

If you have a site you want people to remember then it's best to build a rapport with the surfers so it's not good to lie EVER.

But if you're just trying to make a quick conversion and don't mind if the site dies like an old tv show then YES you can get away with little webmaster lies. My experience is the main thing surfers pay when they want to see more of a single model that turns them on... IF they trust you have more content of that model then they'll probably still sign up even if they catch your little lie.

Most surfers expect little lies from sites they don't plan on sticking with... But they don't like lies on the sites they permanently visit and bookmark.

So if you want to build a little tiny cult of fans...don't ever lie. If you're just trying to convert that day then it won't matter as long as the surfer still believes you have more content in the paying member's area. Belief in more content is all that matters at that point.

Does that make sense? Geez I sound like a retard sometimes
