 Basicly, the law is being pushed through by a for profit company that will scrub email lists so that nobody is potentially emailing minors. To have your list scrubed it costs .5 cent per email. The FSC is fighting the case in Utah. About a dozen states are considering similar bills, but haven't enacted any of them till they see how things pan out in Utah.
Were the real problem is...if it passes in Utah...other states will quickly follow...so in a nightmare scenerio...you could be paying out a private company .5 cents per email times 50.
