OPEC is a small part of the problem. It's the huge US oil companies that are fucking us. I love the fact that they got a TAX BREAK when they are having the largest profits of ANY US company EVER.
We have sat back as these mega-mergers have taken place. Now there are basically 4 oil companies controlling the gas prices for our country. When was the last time you saw a small mom and pop gas station?
It's price fixing, plain and simple, and that is what is illegal. Don't you ever wonder why gas prices on the same street all go up, at the same time, when they are supposedly different companies.
The latest reason we are being fed about the prices, is that there is a shortage of ethenol (not sure on the spelling). Now this is made from CORN. We are one of the largest, if not the largest producer of corn in the world. These fucks are actually importing it from other countries.
Good lord, how I long for the days when conservatives were so worried about whether Clinton got a bj or not. Simpler times.
