They don't need it. All they need is ONE witness and believe you me, when the lawyers lay out to them kids how much time they're facing and how much money Duke is gonna have to pay that woman someone will roll over. The other kids on the team that won't get to play and may or may not lose their scholarships aren't going to be happy campers either.
