ACL Reconstruction=Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Knee ligament reconstruction. A three inch incision just below the knee cap, then a 5 inch long, 1 inch wide piece of your patella tendon is sliced off like cheese, then they drill through your femor straight down though your tibia/fibia (whatever) pass the strip of tendon through the hole and screw it in at each end. Heaps of fun. The drugs are good though. I've been clean for months, with these pain killers, I finally feel normal again
