Rather than just focussing on "losing weight", you have to change your life. Eat organic foods, cut out the snacks & fast foods, quit drinking soda pop, and commit to a daily exercise plan. You will end up losing weight, but the key thing is to change your life so that all those things that contributed to the weight gain won't be in your life anymore.

As to exercise, I tried all sorts of things to get fit before I finally found something that works for me. I tried swimming, cycling, belly dancing, aerobics, pilates, and going to the gym. You know what exercise has really made the difference for me? Yoga. It just goes to show that if you keep at it, you'll eventually find what works for you.
