I call this "New Money vs Old Money" or "The Bling Theory".
A lot of arrogance arose during the dotcom boom in general. There is def a great deal of arrogance in both adult and mainstream. It is one thing to be good at what you do and make good money doing it, but we all need to remember how we started and where we came from.
I was sitting having drinks after a mainstream show with some business friends of mine. We are all in our late 20s. We were talking about places we've travellled and outlandish expense reports etc. After we finished telling our stories, I looked at em and said... "You guys know we are blessed. We should never take this for granted. Seriously... 4-5 yrs ago, would you have thought you would be here?"
Its good to always think of things in that way.... one day you are on top... one day you are not. Be nice to those you meet on the way up because your fall from the top will hurt a lot more once you realize that you are alone.
