I beg to differ. Grouping DOES split up experience BUT it's more than offset by the SPEED of your kills. Depending on your class, soloing may take a while unless you can aoe or you're a rogue. Same logic applies to Instances. As for (3), it depends where you gather.
Also, it depends whether you're on a PVP server or a regular server. Grinding solo can get really risky if you're on a PVP server and in a high conflict area like Nesingwary in STV or past Sorrow Hill in WPL
I agree, STV is great. I've killed the "King Kong" mob on Jaguero Island there many times
