Snowpimp, you can have as many ACS sites per domain as you want, for SE purposes, build several niche hubs or linklist at top level on your domains and then link all your hubs to one central hub with all the niche's.
To get more traffic, quality traffic from TGP's, use smaller niche TGP's. Also get yourself on linklists, try some paid advertising, keep trading traffic etc.. andmost importantly, build more AVS sites on several AVS systems.
