So, we knew the guy who owned the little Coffee Shop around the corner. This guy pretty much treated his employees like shit, not paying time and a half for holidays, staying open ALL Christmas day, things like that.

He gets wind that Starbuck had bought the land across the parking lot from them. He decides he needs to sell and FAST. He bought the place for $85,000. He sold it for $94,000. Not a bad profit, especially having Starbucks moving in. So, a few weeks pass and the CEO of Starbucks walks into the shop and hands the new owner a check for $95,000 and says, "We are going to open in a month, I hope this will help you out on your lost bussiness." She in turn sells the shop for $105,000. Walks away in less than 2 months with $106,000 in her pocket.
