Who cares- you have to be an ass asking this question? So you?re that much less of a man because you make less than your wife/girlfriend? Why do you measure yourself by the amount you earn? You are really fucking shallow, if you grow up maybe you can join the real men in the 21 century. Maybe you have shot penis syndrome.
My wife is a pharmacist, she made more than me most of our 11 years of marriage. So, in your thinking I was less of a man most of my marriage because of this? WOW ? cavemen do still exist. Moreover, do not benchmark income as power ? measure wealth. It is not what you make, what you keep. Wealth is always more powerful than income.
It kills me all the threads on GFY that state something to the effect, ?if you were a millionaire, what car would you drive?? Then people post pictures of expensive cars and other expensive toys. For the same reason, these people will likely never be millionaires (which is it not that hard to accomplish) because they spend money on expensive trinkets. Instead of spending 100K on a hot ride, spend 25K. Put the 75K down on rental property. You should be able to leverage about 400K on 75K investment; therefore, you can purchase a 475K income producing property. Rent the property and let other pay the mortgage. You will also get a paper loss on the property, which you can offset your portfolio (passive) income. Note: Active with limitations. Do this a few times over, you will have a million dollars within a several years. Getting back to my point, you income might not be ?high earning? but your wealth will be outstanding. It is not what you make, but what you keep.
It is amazing to me how many people in this biz make so much money, but really have so little. This biz is ever changing, high earners today probably will not continue to make high income the rest of their carriers in this biz. Look how the biz model has changed in this biz over the last several years. It is harder to make a buck now than 3, 5, 7 years ago. Completion grows everyday ? competing for relativity the same market pool.
Maybe I should set up a biz to teach you guys how to shelter your money.
