Its awesome if your partner can make more. Why would this be a problem for you?
My gf and I have switched positions in this scenario many times over the years, and have learned to balance it well.
Example, she gets a great contract, or position, making more money, I have more resources to put into my businesses and fun. I get a better contract, or better position, then she scales back and looks for something better, and we use extra money again for another business or project.
