i agree , its a slippery slope..
If the laws dont apply to everyone , its hardly fair ( even convicted people )
I dont think laws should change depending on who is being tried , you can change the penalty based on prior convictions but kind of hard to consider guilt based on prior actions..
but then again , if someone was convicted 20 times of credit card fraud and then is under suspicion of credit card fraud , should we need as much evidence to convict him as someone who has never been convicted ( with the assumption being because he did it before its obviously more likely he did it again )
