The guy backed out on the price at the last minute...
BUT....as it turned out, when I got the survey report back, there was a ton of corrosion in the risers, and the wiring, and one of the sterndrives was pretty shot.... So I guess I got out lucky.
Still need another boat soon though. It's driving me CRAZY not having one.
