being an old man I have just gotten to the point where Im so sick and tired of hearing how "offended" everyone gets these days about every little damn thing - when they have no idea of what we went through to get to the point we are at nowadays, and more importantly - claiming they are shocked (the other term Ive heard so often for offended) by stuff that was so commonplace 40 years ago and just bending over as a group to get rid of the values this country was built to promote over 200 years ago.
Of course (and heres my biggest pet peeve) not a one of them votes in elections ranging from their local dogcatcher to the president of the country - so when they come whining there offended tunes - I usually just laugh and tell them to go fuck themselves cause they arent even close to being a worthwhile person in my book
