MySpace.com Launches Teen Safety Awareness Campaign

MySpace.com, under a lot of criticism for their lack of safety measures in recent months, have announced they will be launching a safety campaign aimed at teenagers in an effort to stay safe from predators on the Internet.

The campaign will feature ads urging youths not to give out any personal information online. This information includes a user?s address. MySpace.com profiles include photos and can be accessed by any of the services 69 million members.

As well as the campaign, teens aged just 14 and 15 years of age will have their profiles restricted so that they can be viewed only by people who have been added to their friends list. The ads will run on Fox TV, radio and NewsCorp web sites.

i guess thats because they were getting sued?
