Did the VA or the gov't help you after the war (i.e. rehabilitation and such)?
Yes. I went through therapy. I was discharged with a 20% disability, that is now a 40% disability, and as I age it will probably become higher, as my back will get progressively worse. Surgery is an option, but one that I will not take at this point, as there is a 60% chance that I would be paralyzed. Normal daily pain I have learned to live with but occasionally, if I move a certain way (which just happened recently), I almost lose the use of my legs and the pain becomes severe. It has always gone away in a few days, but there may come a point that it won't go away.
