Yikes Honeyslut!
I live about 7 miles downwind from Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Facility (no pics... apparently that's a no-no). It's supposedly shut down now, meaning they aren't producing anything, but the sheer amount of plutonium stored there is scary. Well, except for the 25,000 pounds they seem to have "misplaced". This place is so contaminated, a vast majority of it has been covered over with a 3-foot thick concrete slab so the wind doesn't blow the glowing dirt all over the place.
Probably the thing that disturbs me most is the idiot that is leasing the land a 1/2 mile from the electrified chain-link fence on the downwind side and grazing a herd of cattle on it. I guess the terms "radiation" and "carcinogen" mean diddly to Mr. Rancherman
