Based on a 12 pack of beer costing $10 that would equate to 1200 beers. With that said,
WHERE IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU GOING TO GET $214.00 in recycling refunds???
In some states they still offer the nickel for each can (which is extremely rare). If that were the case then you'd have a whopping $60 from your recycled cans.
Most places base the refund on the weight of the aluminum. A modern beer can (empty of course) weighs 14.9 grams. Using 34 cans as the measurement, however, means that 900 to 1000 cans would result in 26 to 30 pounds or about $2.60 to $3.00 worth at 10 cents per pound.
