I would recommend finding those responsible for installs (doesn't have to be this particular one) and making a pretty harsh example of them. As more and more scumware installers realise they would prefer to keep their balls/ eyesight/ fingers, installs will become less of a problem.

In the short term, download and pay for something like PCTools' Spyware Doctor. Used in conjunction with a Google search for the specific problem you should be fine and shouldn't have to reinstall your OS or reformat.

Boot to safe mode with networking so that you can take care of things.
