As you can see from this Bitch-O-Meter graph, the industry-wide drop in income (blue line) results in the concurrent rise in discontent and industry-wide bitching (red line).
The dots are a very controversial subject. One theory is that they represent the spontaneous combustion of "dumb" particles which result in further saturation by newbies, the other argument is that they are peoplenuggets. Do a search for people-nuggets for a thorough explanation.
Either way, I think this graph clearly proves that we are fucked indeed and the sky is in fact falling.
