While the European parliament have proposed the .kid tld., then its uncertain if it will work or even get created by ICANN - the kids.us domain flopped so its uphill for .kid
http://www.out-law.com/page-6107 but still most EU MEPs would rather see a .kid tld, than a .xxx tld. There are several EU MEPs that are watching the .xxx tld. debate, but are misinformed about the adult industry´s view on the .xxx and .kid.
