I'm not American but history is my hobby and specialty.

I think what we all need to realize is that history does not change overnight.

A bad regime has been ousted and it will take time for the dust to settle.

It will eventually settle on the right side and the new history will show that America did a good thing for the world and paid for this deed with the price of the blood of it's sons.

What the new textbooks won't show is that America put the bad regime into power to begin with.

Iran is the new Libya. Notice that no one is bombing Quaddafi anymore?

Iran is truly an evil empire with a new spokesman who wears better clothes than the Ayotolla Khomeni but still has the tongue of a snake when he isn't tripping over it.

Saddam Hussein. with American aid tried to quiet the Iranian tongue in the 80's but it cost both Iran and Iraq hundreds of thousands of martyrs and children running through minefields ahead of the shock troops.

Take everything you read with a grain of salt, especially our US friends because your media is not really as free as you think.

Also remember that both Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler, amongst others, said that history is always written by the winners. They knew what they were talking about.

Patience is a virtue but widows and orphans don't always agree.
