I for one have no problem in believing that the guy existed. I have a bit of a problem believing that he did some of the things they said he did..

I can see an exaggeration in the 'water into wine' thing in that the folks had to start drinking wine due to the water being bad.
I'm thinkin symbolism here..

The miraculous healings? well.. Benny Haan <sp> does that all the time.. just as Oral Roberts did and a few other masters of their art..

Did he die on the cross? One Dead See Scrolls interpretation is "no".. It said he was "without spirit" which meant "unconscious".. and this was after drinking poison, which was the manly thing to do back then when facing death...

Was he resurrected? or was he given an antidote for the poison when they took him down? Why else would Mary Magdalene (who wasn't a prostitute) keep watch?
