Sure the bottom line is important, but I get really fed up with people who use terms like "whine and complain" when anyone raises questions about dubious business practises. I have had 10 years in this business and I'm tired of the constant suspicion that some of my income quietly disappears here, some of it there: never mind the times when sponsors, payment processors or whoever simply stop paying.
We all work under that cloud yet every time someone bends or even breaks the "rules" there are always people queuing up to make excuses for them. We might as well hang out signs saying "Screw Me". |
Best post in this thread and this sums it up. Smokey has admitted he is new to revshare cams and is unfamiliar with other programs but yet he continues to feel compelled to bash them. This statement alone tells me that Smokey knows nothing about other cam programs out there and probably shouldn't even be commenting in this thread.

The one thing you have been diligent about Smokey is finding and exposing sponsors who are cheating, deceptive and sneaky. First, show me the "many" other threads you elude to where the AWE 14 day cookie was discussed in detail on gfy, it hasn't been. Smokey, its not "most" other revshare cam programs that are for life, but "all" others. AWE is preying upon the fact that webmasters who promote cams automatically assume its lifetime revshare. They do not mention it anywhere on their site as Jay mentioned, this is deliberately deceptive as it should at least be mentioned in their terms and part of their program details.
Smokey, forget about which is a better cam program, that has nothing to do with what is being discussed. It would just be nice to at least hear you say that AWE should have been more forthright in conveying to webmasters this important part of their compensation. I feel like when a company that is in your sig is being discussed you lose all sense of objectivity, the same thing happened in the spa cash discussions.
