We took out a repressive, sadistic, and barbaric regime. We took the political power away from the minority and gave it to the majority. The news warps the reality. I've talked to soldiers who have been there. The people are happier now, regardless of the fact its still a chaotic situation with remnents of the former regime still trying to fuck the place up and get back whatever power they can.
It will be a civil war now, and it will be up to the Iraqi people to succeed or stay in a state of turmoil.
Our military mission is complete and we should just provide backup military support/training/supplies and assist with infrastructure rebuilding going forward.
