If you run a corporation within the United States you had best pay your company taxes. The law clearly states corporations doing business within the corporation of the United States must pay taxes. The "half ass" loophole is it doesn't say a person, a natural person, has to pay taxes; Lots of shit, best not to play in that area unless you are very up on what to do.
However, that doesn't mean you have to let them bully you around. Get a lawyer, even advice helps. Then, you may want to decide if worth the possible fight. They can be assholes and corporations have no real power over the IRS.
