I admire the way you have stuck with this, but you are stubbornly missing several points:
  1. It's all very well saying "It's in their forum" and yes, AWE deserve a degree of credit for responding honestly when asked. But that information didn't appear in their forum until they were asked and it will soon scroll away. I couldn't find any mention of the subject anywhere else on their site, not even within their TOS.
  2. Try to say "Recurring revenue for 14 days" without laughing: it's ludicrous. We may know from that CCBill situation better than to assume "for life", but even so...
  3. The people at AWE are experienced enough to know that not a single affiliate would be likely to anticipate the limitations on their promise of recurring income. And experienced enough to know how few webmasters would use their forum: there simply isn't time to visit more than a handful. Put those two realities together and it is extremely difficult to believe they weren't being deliberately deceptive.

Sure the bottom line is important, but I get really fed up with people who use terms like "whine and complain" when anyone raises questions about dubious business practises. I have had 10 years in this business and I'm tired of the constant suspicion that some of my income quietly disappears here, some of it there: never mind the times when sponsors, payment processors or whoever simply stop paying.

We all work under that cloud yet every time someone bends or even breaks the "rules" there are always people queuing up to make excuses for them. We might as well hang out signs saying "Screw Me".
