Yeah I saw something on the History Channel or something on Jesus a couple of years ago that came to the same conclusion. Jesus wanted to be a martyr so he secretly( meaning the other 11 disciples didn't know ) asked Judas to go tell the Romans where to find him. The 30 pieces of sivler were to pay for lack of a better term the "bounty hunters" at the time to come get him, as what was how it worked back then. Judas still felt guilty about doing what he did even though Jesus asked him to so that's why he killed himself.
