People who know you know you and your reputation. I know it's a bit different from someone calling you a phony bitch and shit and hopefully you can tame these "rumours" and set things straight. Someone is always going to say something and things will get embellished but I can't see you losing much business because of it and if you do then they weren't worth doing business with in the first place (if they are going on hearsay).
