LOL, say what Jace????
My ex-wife had a girlfriend whose husband was a multimillionaire. He got too greedy and started using his investor's money that was supposed to fund mortgages, to finance small businesses that he took 100% ownership in. He was figuring he could make enough money by making loans with the companys funds to himself to pay it back easily and no one would be the wiser. Problem was some of the businesses he bought lost money and he wasn't able to pay back the loans. It snowballed into a lot of other crazy moves. The investors who ended up losing over $50 Million got wind of his charades and went after him with a vengeance on a mission to totally destroy him.
Sheriffs showed up at his mansion with a moving van during the final days of his legal mess and the investors used the judgement they won to take everything he owned. They even took his wife's clothes out of her closet. All their jewelry. All their pictures. Their bed. Everything was gone except for the clothes on their backs and an empty house.
Then the shit hit the fan after the civil case, the investors got the Feds involved and they prosecuted him criminally and the jury convicted him.
Now he's sitting in a Federal prison with a 17 year sentence. His wife left him. He won't be able to be a father to his young daughter again till she's almost 30.
So how you figure jail doesn't ruin your life is dead wrong.
