Its a lot like all the radio, tv, and other electromagnetic signals flying through the air around each of us right now. You can't see them. You can't feel or touch them. But we all know they are there in vast quantities. Its only when you have a receiver can you hear and see those signals. So maybe once you open your mind, or maybe you have to have some innate abilities, then you can sense the electromagnetic vibrations from spirits which operate on a dimension with extremely high frequencies. For this reason also, they aren't within the visibile light spectrum.

By the way, with that stuff that happened to my ex-wife and her entire family. She had 6 brothers and sisters in the family and her father and mother were both ultra NON believers in spirits and the supernatural, so for them to acknowledge the ghost they encountered was very remarkable.
