I have a crystal ball in front of me and I predict that in my life time I'm gonna see the first American President from Latin descent. Heck if Arnold could be Governor.
Mexicans are the fastest growing minority in the US at the moment, for two reasons: migrations (legal and illegal); and Mexican families tend to have more children on average. If not for the immigrants, the US population would be in an inverted pyramid much like in Japan where the young generations have an economical burdon by having to support the elderly.
